This morning I needed to run across town to the bank. So, I loaded the kids up (to get them out of the house for a few minutes) and off we went.
We went and took care of business at the bank (at the drive-through, of course--if it requires going in, the kids don't get to go on the errand, since it would take longer to deal with car seats and buckling than it would to just go in and pay our bill). On the way back to the house, Andy Williams' It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year comes on the radio. I have a cd with this very same version on it, but we really haven't listened to it much. But, Connor surprised me by singing along with good ol' Andy. Cute, right?
Then, the next song plays. Gwen Stefani's Hollaback Girl (the cleaned-up radio version). I am proud to say that my 4 year old son also "sang" along with this one.
This afternoon we're going shopping. I think I'll be stopping somewhere to pick up kid-friendly cds to listen to in the car once Christmas is over.
