It says "It's going to be a busy summer."
I was right.
Hence the lack of blog posts.
To my loyal 5 readers, sorry.
My goal of the week is to catch up the ol' blog.
So here's the main thing I want to hit on tonight: I just got home from a 3 mile run. Why is this a big deal, you ask? I'll tell you. I haven't been able to run that distance (or even close to it) for about 6 weeks due to excruciating pain in my knee--the same pain I experienced while training for the half marathon in April. Let's just say the cortisone shot has definitely worn off. So I went to a new orthopedic surgeon, who sent me for physical therapy (which I'm now halfway through). The PT guy has recommended that I get fitted for orthotics due to incredibly flat feet. That is happening tomorrow. In the mean time, I've lost a lot of endurance, and gained a lot of weight.
Hopefully, these orthotics will fix my issues (along with changing my running form), and I'll be able to get myself back in shape in time for the two hapf marathons I'm signed up for in Sept. and Oct...
So that's the update on my health for tonight. Tomorrow, I'll catch you up on the kids and our summer activities.
