Thumb twiddling time is over.
I've made "the bestest dinner ever" for my kids, although you wouldn't know it by the negotiating it took to get them to eat it. I think Connor learned a valuable lesson tonight--Mommy is always right. He was absolutely convinced that he did NOT want biscuits and gravy and scrambled eggs for dinner. But once he actually tried them, he really liked all of these things. Especially for dinner!
Amazing.
The kitchen is now cleaned. I've thrown in a load of mid-week laundry (almost unheard of in this household). I'm about to wrangle the trash for tomorrow. The bags are packed and lunches/snacks prepared for our day tomorrow. Other than that, all that's left for me to do is lay out all the clothes and I'm ready to go.
I can get us all out the door on time (without forgetting anything) all by myself tomorrow.
I'm just glad I only have to play single-mom for a few days. Hats off to those who have to do it full-time.
P.S. We love, miss and thank Daddy for all that he does around here!!!!!
