Happy New Year!

I'm a couple days late, I realize, but Happy 2009!

Since we are boring losers, we did not go out for New Year's Eve. I just don't care for the idea of being out on the roads with all the drunk people and I don't like having to scrounge for a decent babysitter. So, we stayed home and had our own little celebration. I had picked up a few party supplies from the dollar spot at Target (I cannot go into Target without checking the dollar spot--especially if they have batteries!), and we tuned in to both Dick Clark and Carson Daly to watch the ball drop in Times Square (at 11:00, since they're an hour ahead of us and my kids can't tell the difference yet). We danced to the "yousic" (as Riley calls it) and ate snacks (fake cheetos!). The kids drank their milk and juice from plastic champagne flutes and thought that was great fun. We had a "Rockin'" New Year's Eve right at home!

Here are some photos from our wild and crazy night:

Connor took this one. Not the greatest picture, but not bad for his first attempt with a camera. You will notice that I did not include the 17 other photos it took in order to get on with both our faces completely in the picture....

Okay, so I'm including one of Connor's other attempts.

Dance Party!

"Midnight" (in New York, anyway) kisses!

Happy New Year! We hope it's a good one!
