I totally forgot that it was Wednesday yesterday. Oops.
I have a confession to make. I have become addicted to weighing myself! It is seriously not good.
I weighed myself this morning first thing when I woke up. Then again, after I peed. Then I weighed myself as soon as I got home from the Y (where I ran 4 miles, thank you very much). Then I took a shower and weighed myself again once I dried off. Somehow, I managed to gain an entire pound in the process of cleaning myself and shaving my legs. (And seriously, if you had seen just how hairy my legs were, you would have thought I'd lost an additional pound simply by shaving! TMI, I know.)
Next week, when I go back to school, I will have to kick this over-weighing myself habit. It truly is a sickness.
However, if you go by today's lowest weight, I only have between 7 & 8 pounds left to meet my goal. (We won't mention the fact that if you go be today's highest weight, I have 10-11 pounds left...)
Confession time again: I've been really good about the exercising this week. I'm back up to running 4 miles. I'm hoping to get back up to 5 miles within the next month. That's where I was before things like directing shows and taking medications ruined me. I have not been good about lifting weights. I figure I'll give myself a week or two after school starts up and then I'll try to add strength training back into my routine. That will probably make me gain some weight, but it will help me lose flab and inches, so I guess it's a worth while trade.
I am also going to order a new lap swim suit and start swimming again. Too much running is bad for my knees, so I need to go easy on the old joints (and I do mean old!). So I'm going to try to start adding swimming back into my weekly routine as well in a few weeks.
It's a good thing I've been a good little exerciser, because I have NOT been a good little dieter. I have eaten so poorly lately. We haven't been doing a great job of keeping fresh fruits and veggies in the house lately (because I've been too cheap/lazy to go grocery shopping), so my eating habits haven't been good. I guess I'm going to have to bite the bullet and hit the store, because we can only eat boxed junk and PBJ for so long, and we are now out of bread.
So there's the update. Anyone else have some progress to share?
For those of you following the same time frame as me for this goal, we now have just over 11 weeks between now and Halloween. That's plenty of time to lose 10 pounds, people!!!

Congrats! I am impressed.
Way to go. After I had Lily, I got a little addicted to weighing myself because immediately post-partum is the only time I ever see the scale change so dramatically. Now, I have plateaued and fear getting on to see it going in the other direction. At last check, I had 3-4 lbs. (depending on the time of day) to go to make my August 31st goal for when I go for my annual exam. After that, it is 3 lbs. more for the big goal. Then, my goal is to stay within those two weights (does that make sense?)
