Weigh-In Wednesday

Well, this week has been a bit challenging on the dieting front. We had a big family reunion this past weekend, and I neither got to exercise nor did I make the best choices about what I ate. Oh well, it was "vacation". I've done relatively well with my eating the rest of the week.

And I've finally gotten over my running plateau. Ever since I started my new medicine to prevent my migraines, I've had major issues with my energy level. I had been running 5 miles almost every time I ran (on the treadmill, of course--I can't do that outside-yet). Then in May I started this medicine. I went from 5 miles down to barely getting in 1 or 2. I've worked my way back up to a 5K (that's 3.1 miles for those of you who aren't fans of the metric system). I've been steadily running that for the past 5-6 weeks. On Monday I finally ran 3 and a half miles!! I know it doesn't seem like much, but to me it's a HUGE difference. I'm trying to work my way back up that hill. I'm hoping that by the time I go back to school (in a week and a half), I can work my way up to the 4 mile mark. We'll see.

And the other big news? I'm now well within 10 pounds of my goal!! This is according to my weight first thing in the morning. I'm sure that by the end of the day, it'll be closer to the 11 pound mark. But, I've been using my weight first thing in the morning each time here, so I've been consistent. We'll see if I continue to lose once school starts and the vending machine keeps calling my name.

I also weigh myself first thing in the morning. After I have fed Lily. And gone to the bathroom. And am naked. I figure every little but helps. :)
