My Bilingual Doctor

Connor has a buddy from his class whose mom teaches with me at the high school. She teaches Spanish. Every once in a while, this little boy invites Connor to come to his mom's room to play after school (which is very helpful right now since I have readers theatre rehearsal going on).

When Connor hangs out in that classroom, I think he picks up a little bit of Spanish.

Or he at least hears some Spanish and can recognize that it is Spanish...

Yesterday was one of the days that Connor spent some time in the Spanish classroom after school. Last night I was laying on the couch and Connor and Riley started examining me with their Little People Doctor's Set. I asked Dr. Connor what was wrong with me and he said, "You have what's called a disease in Spanish; but in English, it's called a 'boo-boo'."
