The Tooth Fairy Cometh

We hit another parenting milestone tonight. Connor lost his first tooth! We actually didn't even realize it was loose until our visit to the dentist on Tuesday evening when the hygienist informed us that he had not one, but two loose teeth.

My little man is growing up so fast!

He spent practically all day yesterday wrestling the tooth with either his finger or tongue, whichever was more socially acceptable at any given time. By the time he finished dinner this evening, that puppy was ready to go! He was tired of it being a nuisance, so he agreed to let me pull it. (And by "pull" I mean "touch in such a way that the tooth simply falls out into my hand".)

Here are some pictures of the boy with the gap in his teeth. Please pay no attention to the fact that he really doesn't know how to smile to show off his missing bottom tooth. It took several tries to get these two shots.

And for good parenting measure, here's a really cute picture of Riley that I took a couple of weeks ago. (I don't want her to feel slighted as the second child...) I think she was talking to her Grandma Mary in this picture.
