So, I just finished playing whack-a-mole--I mean, I put the kids down for their naps.
Some days that's just what it feels like--one giant whack-a-mole game. I get one kid lying down in bed, then the other one pops up and I have to go and "beat him/her over the head". By the time that's done, the 2nd kid is back up again...And it seems like they team up and do this on the days that I need nap time the most. For instance, 2 days ago when I was desperately trying to finish reading Breaking Dawn. Or like today, when I needed to go pack up their stuff so we can go to the water-park when they wake up.
I think they must get together and discuss strategy when I'm not around.
Connor: Okay, she tucks you in first, so you have to do the first pop up. I'll signal you once she's got me in bed.
Riley: What's today's code phrase?
Connor: How 'bout, 'Mommm, the cat's in my bed again!'?
Riley: Yeah, yeah. That'll work. Then, when she comes in to comfort me again, I'll mumble something unintelligible. That'll stall her for a good 2-3 minutes while she asks me to repeat myself 10 times and tries to figure out just what I'm saying. She won't know that when I say "watch" I mean "rock". PS--watch will be my code word.
Connor: Okay, then when she returns to my room, I'll identify every artifact on my walls for her. That'll waste at least 5 minutes.
Riley: Sounds good! We'll rendez-vous after lunch.
They are no longer going to be permitted to play alone together anymore.

Just be glad he's still napping. We only get 50% naps from our girl anymore.
Hey, what water park?
And - how'd that go doing post nap there? We toy around w/ the idea all the time, beings most water places OPEN at noon (thanks for opening right when my 2 yr old is starting to get cranky, that makes for lots of family happiness).
:) Love it.
