So, we've had a fantastic day in the Zustiak house. We just returned from an afternoon at the park. We recently purchased a double jogging stroller and Caleb's been working on getting our money's worth out of it. We took the kids for a run at the park. I even pushed the stroller and all of its 60 lb cargo for a bit of the run. I must admit, though, that I walked most of my stroller shift. I did manage to get in 4 miles, and I'm pretty certain that I ran at least 3 of them!
The kids love their time in the jogger as well. They love getting to sit right next to one another, where they can pick and pull at each other as much as they want. Although, Connor did do the whole big brother thing when Riley attempted to remove her shoes during the run, and he helped her get them back on her feet. It almost makes up for all the shoving, picking, pulling and hitting.
Lately, Connor's developed a huge fascination/fear of bugs. While we were out running at the park this happened:
Connor: (in panic) Aaarrggghhh! A bug! A BUG!
Daddy: Well, brush it off.
Connor: I don't have a brush!
Oh, the literal wee ones!
Okay, well, we just got home and I still need to shower, sort and start laundry, eat supper, bathe kids and go grocery shopping and it's already almost 6. So what do I do? I get onto the computer. Anyhow, I have to go make myself smell better. I'll try and post again tomorrow--I still haven't managed to get any photos or video of Connor's first soccer trauma--I mean, experience. I'm working on it; hopefully tomorrow.
