9 Years

Nine years ago today my dad pushed me down the aisle...

Unfortunately, I got married in the stone age (pre-digital cameras for most), and I do not own a scanner, so I have exactly one wedding photo that I can post for you. And yes, it is the exact same photo I posted on July 15 of last year:

Yeah, yeah, yeah...we looked younger, blah, blah, blah...

Over the course of the years, we apparently never had pictures of ourselves taken (outside of my having just given birth--and really, regardless of how many people came into my hospital room claiming "You do NOT look like someone who has just had a baby!", I am NOT posting those right now). So, last year we had our good friend Tyson, who has started a photography business, take some family photos--including some of the still happy couple:

You will note that while Caleb has a little less hair in these, and I have a little more (although I've cut some of it off, and I no longer have the bangs of a venus flytrap), we actually look better than we did 9 years ago (with the notable exception of my fat arms, which you really can't see in these photos, so I should have just not said/typed anything, but I feel the need to be completely honest). We may be a little more worn out than we were back then, but I fully expect that that will clear up on Riley's wedding day (or sooner, if she moves out earlier than that--not that we're trying to get rid of you, sweetheart!).

Happy Anniversary, Caleb! I love you so much, and I can't wait to see the photos over the next 9 + years!
